Richard Macmillan took over the reins of the business in 2019, coming to it with a background in Civil Projects, Information Technology, Trucking, Logistics and Vegetation Management. Whilst retaining the key staff and operators that had been loyal to Pades Excavations he brings to it a focus not only on delivering great outcomes for every client, but a focus on WHS, Compliance and Safety, and culture that treats every project with same level of care.
With a core crew of 4 seasoned multiskilled operators (and reliable casuals) all with a current Industry White Card, machine specific competencies, Heavy Vehicle licenses, supporting qualifications and awareness of the safe working practices we can and do undertake a diverse array of Civil and Earthworks projects.

- Detailed earthworks and excavations (house cuts, under slab and

- Road and driveway construction (underpinning, bridging and final trim)
- Site cleans, light demolition, clearing and vegetation removal
- Retaining walls, stone walls, rock placement, erosion control
- Screw piers, pile drilling up to 900mm and 5m deep slab underpinning
- Site access slashing, Dam construction, repair and cleaning
- Rock breaking and concrete removal
- Retaining walls, fencing, gabion, erosion and sediment barriers
- Drainage, sullage trenching and containment
- Bridge construction

The original founder (Ian Pade) had a passion for delivering great service to a diverse array of customers. Concreters, Plumbers, Builders, Councils and landowners - all with their specific challenges and project opportunities – each delivered with the same commitment to task and vigour.

25 years in business and the experience that comes from running sizeable and high risk projects has truly brought to the forefront of all our activities the importance of safety, communication and awareness. Accordingly, all our activities are conducted in accordance with our Work Health and Safety System.
Recently audited, upgraded and socialised through our toolbox talk, our Work Health and Safety System underpins every decision made on the worksite.
The crew have role specific SWMS, Site Risk Assessments, WHS Handbooks, Environmental Policy and aware of their part in ensuring every work activity is conducted with safety and compliance at the forefront of mind.
We are insured for $20M limited liability and our Work Cover Certificate is current and up to date – certificates of currency are available on request.
